Eejit of Love, (a musical comedy) was originally developed at Greenwich Theatre (London) and produced as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival.
RTE (Ireland’s National Broadcaster) presented the show as their 2013 Christmas Day Special.
Follow the fortunes of lovable bumpkins: Billy and Eileen as they travel to Shmokey City to audition for the dastardly Pete Popalypse on his new TV talent show: Xposure.
Watch in horror as Pete lures Eileen away on a perilous journey towards the stars as a broken-hearted Billy heads back to the farm.
Will Eileen survive the evil ambitions of Pete? Will our two lovers be re-united?

A Family Favourite
Eejit of Love has continuously been warmly received in theatres throughout Ireland and has played to standing ovations on many occasions. As radio play, it reached number 1 in the RTE charts and was repeatedly broadcast due to popular demand.
A firm family favourite during the Dublin Fringe Theatre Festival, it attracted fans from tweenies to great grannies as audiences returned two or three times to sing along with the extravagant characters.
Eejit of Love is a wonderful showcase of Irish talent and represents the great humour, warmth and culture for which Ireland is renowned, worldwide.

From 7th – 29th Aug, 2015, to great public and critical acclaim, Eejit of Love exceeded all expectations at the internationally acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 which this year had 50,459 performances of 3,314 shows in 313 venues across Edinburgh.

Eejit of Love is written by Dublin Singer/ Songwriter Jody Trehy who has written music and lyrics for several musical theatre projects to date, most notably Eejit of Love (Greenwich Theatre, London Samuel Beckett Theatre, Pavilion Theatre, Focus Theatre) which RTE produced as their Christmas Day Special for 2013 and 2014 and Macbecks. (Olympia Theatre, Dublin and Cork Opera House).
The Album Tour
